The Music Of The Beatles Is Available On ITunes

After the many years of lawsuits between Apple Computer and Apple Corps. were settled once and for all in 2007, it seemed like only a matter of time before The Beatles were finally available on iTunes and on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 that time came. The Beatles music is in iTunes.

Before I tell you about exactly what Beatles stuff is available in the iTunes store, I think I should tell you a bit more about the back story of why it has taken 10 years for The Beatles to join the 21st century.

Way back in 1968 The Beatles started up a company called Apple Corps (pronounced “Apple Core”) which is still a going concern today. Apple Corps began as a grand idea of a company that would be in all kinds of businesses but today it exists almost entirely for just The Beatles recordings. In 1976 a computer company called Apple Computer started and in 1978 Apple Corps sued Apple Computer over the Apple name. There were two further lawsuits (in 1989 and 2003) before the issue was finally settled for good in 2007.

So which Beatles recordings are available to buy at the iTunes music store? Their entire remastered stereo catalog! It can be purchased all at once (like The Beatles Remastered Stereo CD Box Set) or album by album or track by track (the first time that every Beatles track has been available to purchase by itself.)

What is not available to purchase at the iTunes Store? The remastered mono mixes. Those are only available to be bought as a part of The Beatles Remastered Mono Box Set. I believe the thinking is that most casual Beatles fans will much prefer the stereo versions so it is better not to confuse these iTunes shoppers by having the mono mixes available as well.

As a cool bonus iTunes is also letting people stream their first American concert (February 11, 1964 in DC) in its entirety. Even as a rather enormous fan of the band I hadn’t yet seen this, and of course the really cool thing is that it’s completely free.

How To Learn To Play Guitar

Tips On How To Learn To Play Guitar

Learning to play the guitar will require a lot of patience, hard work, and time. You will, however, get a great deal of pleasure and fulfillment out of developing this particular skill. The fact, you may even end up making a successful career out of it. If you want to get started, here are some tips on how to learn to play guitar.

It is obviously going to be important for you to first get yourself a guitar and then make sure that it is properly tuned. This is something that you can either do yourself using a digital tuner, or something that you can get a professional or a friend to help you with.

Get yourself a chord chart. This is going to be very important until you have picked up the major chords. If you can, print one out and keep up with you at all times. Get yourself a poster of a chord chart and put this up on the wall where you practice.

You need to pick a specific song that you can practice to. When you first get going it is absolutely imperative that you choose an acoustic number that has simple chord patterns. If you start with something too complicated then this is going to slow your learning. Choose your song and then listen to it over and over until you know it by heart.

Utilize all resources that you have available. If you know somebody who plays then ask them if they can give you some pointers. Read books, go online for help, watch videos, and do everything else that you can to speed your learning.

Of course, practice makes perfect and this is the last step to take. Practice the song that you’ve chosen over and over again until you become an expert on it. Once you’ve done this you can start moving on to more complicated songs or you can consider having lessons to advance your learning.

Magical Mystery Tour through Let It Be

The Beatles final five albums were Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, and Let It Be. This article includes a short overview of each of them.

All of these albums are contained in the Remastered Beatles Stereo CD Box Set but just Magical Mystery Tour and The White Album are included in the Remastered Beatles Mono CD Box Set.

Magical Mystery Tour (1967) – I would argue this is the band’s most underrated album and I suppose that’s at least partly because it is not really an album from a purist’s POV so people have a difficult time giving it respect for the excellent songs it contains. It is The Beatles at their most purposefully psychedelic before they began to pull it back a little bit and as a huge fan of trippy music, that makes it right up my alley.

The White Album (1968) – There is no album that I prefer listening to over The White Album. No, it doesn’t flow as well as Abbey Road or Sgt. Pepper and one could certainly make an argument that it’s not as consistently outstanding as Rubber Soul or Revolver but I enjoy listening to it repeatedly for the great variety of styles that it lets me hear. This 30 track album is a true work of art.

Yellow Submarine (1969) – This “album” isn’t really a Beatles album as it includes only four new recordingss that were not already released on a previous album. Yet “It’s All Too Much” and “Hey Bulldog” make it worth buying.

Abbey Road (1969) – The favorite album of many Beatles fans and for many very good reasons. The most obvious is the wonderful “suite” of side two. And of course there are the classics like “Something,” “Come Together,” and “Here Comes The Sun.” This album also features the “smoothest” and most “modern” sounding production of their career.

Let It Be (1970) – The final Beatles album released but Abbey Road was the final album that was recorded. It’s a tad sloppy by their standards yet it does still includes some legendary tracks like “Get Back” and “Across The Universe.”

A good place to begin gathering vintage guitars as an investment would be to concentrate the research on getting guitars from the list below. This list contains guitars that have been inducted into Vintage Guitar Magazine’s Hall of Fame. There are, naturally, other listings and other guitars worth investing in, but this is certainly a good place to begin. A good site to commence your search for these exquisite instrument are Vintage Fender Guitars at http://www.vintageguitarbargains.com.

Fender Stratocaster
Inducted in 1990
The VG Hall of Fame was started in 1990 and we had little question the Strat would definetely be amongst the first instruments picked for inclusion by the readers. Three single-coils, a vibrato (usually), and that fantastic contoured, offset-double-cutaway body. Some 50 years after its introduction, it remains one of the most popular designs. A vintage Fender Stratocaster is a good inclusion to the collection of serious collectors.

Fender Telecaster
Inducted in 1991
Leo Fender’s timeless classic is about as uncomplicated as an electric guitar can be, but still has the magic to appeal to guitarists performing just about any style of music. Each and every guitar player has a Telecaster (or should). Along with the Strat and Les Paul, the Tele is amongst the most famous designs around. A vintage Fender Telecaster guitar will be definetely a good inclusion to any collection.

Fender Precision Bass
Inducted in 1992
The first bass in the VG Hall, and why not, it solely forever revolutionized how the bass was played. One of the most groundbreaking ideas in modern music history.

Fender Jazz Bass
Inducted in 1995
With its two especially designed pickups, offset waist, and slimmer, narrower neck, the Jazz Bass was meant to be far more tonally diverse, slicker-playing descendant of the Precision. The fact is they were obtainable in Fender custom hues (frequently with matching headstock) tends to make it much more cool.

Fender Jazzmaster
Inducted in 2002
Designed and marketed by Leo to cut into Gibson’s jazz market, it supplanted the Strat at the top of Fender’s series in 1958. And though its acoustic kept it from catching on with jazzers, garage surf bands of the day ate it up. It is one of the most copied solidbody styles of all time.

Fender Jaguar
Inducted in 2006
Getting on the speeding Fender bandwagon in 1962, it helped the company stay on top throughout the decade, with its cushy new vibrato tailpiece, innovative electronic devices, and (usually) a funky custom color. If you performed instrumental rock at the time, you either had one of these or you were most likely ignored!

This is some generall tips concerning which of the Fender guitars to consider collecting and/or investing in. For further, much more in depth information visit Vintage Fender Guitars.

The Beatles: “And I Love Her”

The Beatles Stereo Box Set

The early Beatles song “And I Love Her” has always been one of my favorite tracks by the Fab Four. What follows is a closer look at this beautiful ballad for Beatles fans who love the song as much as I do.

The song was the 5th song on side one of The Beatles third album A Hard Day’s Night. This album is, of course, the soundtrack to the 1964 film with the same title. Most Beatles lovers consider it to be a huge breakthrough and easily the best of the first four LPs. It is also the only Beatles album to contain only Lennon/McCartney originals (this is mostly because later LPs included tunes by George Harrison as well.)

In some ways “And I Love Her” is a very repetitive simple song and one could make a strong argument that the lyrics are pretty cliche. But the melody is beautiful enough and there’s enough subtle musical ideas that this song is still a standout inspite of these things which could be considered weaknesses.

One thing that I think is really nice about this tune is how it goes into four different keysduring the song. This is because it goes this way and that way between major and its relative minor throughout the song and then during George’s restrained guitar solo the key goes up a half-step and finishes a half step up when the vocals come back in.

On the Anthology 1 CDs you can hear an earlier version of this song that has a full band sound and doesn’t have the excellent guitar riff that helps make the final version memorable. The difference between this early version and the official final version shows how a different arrangement and some cool riffs can help make a song come alive.

As a nice final touch the song ends on a major version of the relative minor tonic chord. In other words instead of the expected D minor it ends on a D major chord instead. Lennon & McCartney often added these little touches to their songs.

Buy The Beatles Stereo CD Box Set to hear “And I Love Her” in remastered stereo. It sounds truly great.

The Beatles Influence on Popular Culture and Music

Many fans would agree that the Beatles used their charms as a kind of magic to draw many fans to them. The group showed a sense of humor and a lovable charming character. Perhaps their friendship and camaraderie made it easier for them to be friendly with the public, press and fans. Pianoforall

You can think of the members of the group like friends who like to hang out together and spending time tinkering with their musical instruments and making songs together out of fun. The fun they had together improved the band and the bond between them. The public never really had a clue that they had troubles with their relationships with each other until they claimed so.

The clean cut friendly image continued and worked well for the band and its image. They managed to seem down to earth, even after rising to great fame. Their image has remained as humble and easy to relate to.

Although they hid their ambition, they were just as keep for money and fame as any other band. This PR trick helped them to rise to the top of the music industry.

Even after the group disbanded in 1969, they have retained the most significant band title up to the present. It is commonly thought that no other group has had more effect on popular music. With each generation since, the music has been re-discovered and lives on. Learn perfect pitch

Why Their Influence was so Great

To begin with, there was such talent in the band that their music impressed listeners with each new release. The music has a wide appeal and the subject matter ranges from simple love songs, to more complex and adult themes. In addition, their music has long term appeal, because it is complicated for pop and melodic at the same time. Also, their songs were made even more interesting by including classical ideas within them. This was connecting the two halves of the century, from classical to rock and roll and the dawn of recorded music. It has been suggested that the huge success of the Beatles was greatly helped by the time that they recorded. It was great luck that they could be a part of the revolution of the 1960s.

There were also new advances in technology around that time to produce music better. Recording technologies and equipment was improving and allowing new techniques for recording records. This decade also introduced pop music to an expanded and more globalized mass media. The 1960s was also the coming-of-age generation as the society sought for its own identity. The Beatles were affected by all of these social, technological, and economic factors. The Beatles had used these influences and they became the most influential band of all time. Led Zeppelin Albums are the Best in Hard Rock

Many music experts would agree that the Led Zeppelin merch and albums are the cream of the crop in the hard rock genre. Of course, a couple of other legendary bands would object to this but there are more big names in the music industry that would support this statement. Nothing less than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rolling Stone magazine give testaments to the greatness and transcendental qualities of the band’s music.

The band’s origins are without fanfare. It all began when Jimmy Page played for The Yardbirds. This band eventually broke up and Page came together with Robert Plant, John Bonham and Chris Dreja who was later replaced by John Paul Jones. They originally played as the New Yardbirds but decided on the name change to disassociate themselves from the defunct group.

Today, every Led Zeppelin album is associated with a more resounding name than anything
under the Yardbirds name. The new moniker was originally intended to mean a bad gig but most people would also equate it with the aristocratic family to which the Zeppelin airships are named after. Because of the obvious name connection, the band had to briefly perform without it to avoid legal issues. Despite protests from well placed quarters though, the band has retained its name to this day.

Before they took to recording, the young group first got into tours, playing first in English premises in 1968 before reaching out to US territory. They weren’t able to make their first eponymous release until 1969. After five years, their first album to hit a band store was said to be so successful that it had already generated $7,000,000 in sales despite having been produced on the cheap.

Their first success was quickly followed by second and third self-titled Led Zeppelin albums. The second one was again recorded while on tour but the end result was so outstanding that this second release is widely credited as being the basis for the music produced by other bands. Work on a third self-titled collection of songs began in 1970. Unlike its first two predecessors however, many tracks in it were recorded away from touring and carried strongly acoustic elements and folk tunes.

The fourth body of work from the band officially remains untitled. The lack of an official title was meant to prove that the band could sell music for music’s sake and not because of hype or promotion associated with the band name. True enough, this untitled masterpiece is among the hottest selling of all time, registering sales in the millions in the US alone.

Having made a point, the members took to their instruments to create more music through the 1970s. Each of the succeeding albums departed from the self-titling trend. Up to 1982, the band released Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence, In Through the Out Door and Coda.

It was only appropriate that the last of the Led Zeppelin albums was named Coda because it was exactly just that. When Bonham died, the band decided they would no longer play and Coda marked the end of the group’s career. Today however, their entire body of works lives on and people definitely listen to more than their final notes.

Why You Should Download Singorama Online Singing Lessons

Downloading Singorama online singing lessons is a great alternative way to learning how to get the most out of your voice instead of hiring a pro singing teacher and Singorama has many benefits over that more traditional approach.

The most obvious advantage is price. You can learn how to sing like a pro with Singorama for less than a hundred dollars because all that’s needed is a one time payment for unlimited use of the course. But when you hire a local vocal coach you have to pay for every single lesson individually and that can add up very fast. It’s easy for your total bill to get over the one thousand dollar mark. If you simply can’t afford that much money but you still really want to improve your voice so that you can sing to the best of your vocal abilities then your choice should be clear: download Singorama online voice lessons.

But this significant advantage in cost is not all it has, the truth is that in many cases “local voice coaches” don’t train students with the most advanced vocal training techniques so that may mean wasted time. In some cases a singing teacher’s methods can be so far off the mark that they actually take your vocal skills backwards instead of forwards.

When you learn to sing with Singorama online vocal lessons you know you are taking advantage of the latest and the greatest voice training methods which means that your singing will improve as fast as possible without any wasted effort.

In addition to the singing lessons themselves you will also get access to some great bonus features when you download this program such as the recording software which allows you to record your voice to see how you sound to other people. This software includes scales to sing along to which can be an effective singing exercise.

So then who should buy Singorama? Anyone who wants to learn how to sing like a pro in just three months time without spending a huge amount of cash on a singing teacher! Iron Maiden- Listen to Real Heavy Metal

To this very day, many new bands revere Iron Maiden. This is only natural. The band has after all, been around for more than thirty years and continues to generate sales of its top selling albums and music merch.

To date, Iron Maiden is credited for having sold records numbering 75 million. Because of their enduring music and pronounced influence, they have been deemed worthy of occupying a spot on the Hollywood RockWalk. As proof of its widening scope of influence, the group continues to be notably featured in movies, games and songs by other artists.

Band Story

Iron Maiden has had its fair share of ups and downs in line-up changes. Steve Harris formed the original group on Christmas Day 1975 with the name being taken from the iron maiden torture device seen on the movie The Man in the Iron Mask. Harris (bass, backing vocals and studio keyboards) and David Murray (guitar) are the longest-standing members of the group.

Presently, band members include Bruce Dickinson on lead vocals who is joined by Janick Gers on guitar; Adrian Smith on backup vocals and guitar and Nicko McBrian on percussion and drums. Michael Kenney takes on the keyboards for live performances. Former members include Dennis Stratton, Dennis Wilcock, Paul Day, Paul Di’Anno, Clive Burr and Doug Sampson. As with many other bands, not all former members left in good standing with the group. Some had to be forced out or had to leave due to professional altercations.

Studio Albums

From 1975 to 2010, Iron Maiden has generated thirty different pieces of work. These are made up of fourteen Iron Maiden albums, four extended plays, five compilations and seven live albums. Because of the band’s outstanding music and work, the group has firmly established itself in numerous recognition lists. Among the many recognitions that the group has received are the MTV Top 10 Greatest Heavy Metal Bands of All Time, the VH1 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock and the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement.

Just to describe a few of the 14 studio albums released in the three-decade long career of Iron Maiden:

• Iron Maiden (1980)- This is the eponymous debut album of the band, which contains classics like The Phantom of the Opera, Sanctuary and, of course, Iron Maiden
• The Number of the Beast (1982)- Widely considered as one of the most influential albums in the heavy metal genre, it is also the band’s highest-selling album with worldwide sales of over 14 million, not to mention that this is also the debut of Bruce Dickinson as lead vocalist
• Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988)- Probably the most lyrical of the group’s body of work, it centers on topics like mysticism, prophecy, reincarnation and the afterlife
• The Final Frontier (2010)- This is the band’s latest and fifteenth album slated for release in late summer and is gearing up to be yet another reason to worship at the altar of the Iron Maiden

There is simply no way to sink Iron Maiden. With their outstanding work and huge following, it’s likely they will get enshrined in music immortality or at least in thousands of band posters.
